Should political debates be compulsory for every major office?

Town halls are a good idea, especially if they are broadcast in local languages.

I would rather see town halls in every senatorial zone. Debates in Abuja hotels do not reach most voters anyway.

Compulsory might be hard to enforce, but parties that skip should at least lose some free airtime.
