What happens if I break a rule?

Our moderators respond based on how serious the issue is. A first, minor issue usually gets a warning. Content that breaks the guidelines may be hidden or removed. Repeated issues, or one serious one, can lead to a temporary suspension, and severe violations — like content that breaks the law — can lead to a permanent ban.

Moderators use their judgment for where a specific case falls on that scale; a single very serious violation can skip straight to a ban.
